Whew!

We had a total blast the last week! And spent wayyyyyyyy too much moolah! Here's a recount:

Sunday--drove down with Xaver to the hotel. We got to stay at the Doubletree!
Monday--drove back to San Bernardino. I stopped at Scrappin Good Times to hang out and have fun with the good time girls prepping for the CKU BUS TOUR that came though on Wed!! Then I went to see my prof at Cal State to turn in my final term paper. I couldn't make it to class because I did not have childcare so we just went on home. I explained to my prof that we were going to be out of town and he said I could email the final exam to him instead of having t0 go to his office to turn it on Friday--woohoo! I gathered up a few more things from home and then we drove all the way BACK to El Segundo to be with Xaver.

Over the next few days we had fun shopping and checking out the sights. Tuesday I spent all day writing my final exam so I could just CHILL and be done the rest of the week. We went to the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and I got a makeover at the MAC stre. The girls in there were so cool and the one who helped me was awesome! She was not even pretentious and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! I totally needed new makeup too. We did alot of shopping on this trip. I also checked out the Sweeetpeas and Snapshots scrap store in LA and a cool ribbon spot in Long Beach--got tons of awesome ribbon! Sweetpeas was good for inspiration but did not have alot of inventory--very fun store though. Our hotel was in the same parking lot as the Mattel Corporate center and a Mattel Outlet where we of course bought lots of fun stuff for the kids.

We ate very very well on this trip--I gained 5 lbs! The food was so yummy. We checked out Whole Foods--oh I wish we had one of these grocery stores here! It was very cool. We also ate a a Zagat rated restaurant and had some other good food while out there. And we splurged on room service which was fun.

Katie really wanted to go to the beach but we just never got to it and when we did, there was a sewage spill and it was closed. But she still had fun in the room with Matt, playing Barbies and hanging out. Matt even slept all the way through the night a couple of nights! I think he was relaxing too!

We got home on Friday afternoon and just sat around most of the evening, diffusing. Now that we are home, we are still unpacking. I have bags and bags of wonderful ribbon to go through, emails to catch up on, messages to return, and mail to read. We had a good time overall and it was a fun little family vacation but we are glad to be home.

Off to LAX!

Well we are off to LAX for a week. What a vacation spot, huh?! I figure while I am down there I will check out some of the must-see scrap stores in the area, go see China Town which is supposed to be undergoing a revitalization, and just hang out. I will try my best to take advantage of being IN LA versus having to drive at least 2 hours to get there--hope I come back with some good stuff!!
