Lucky 7
Well today was also my mom's birthday. We did a little BBQ, had some family time. It was relaxing and just a pleasant time with family.
It's my friend Trisha's birthday today too! Just all kinds of fun things going on today...now if only I could win that lottery.....

Flower Power Add-On
These were made using acetate, plastic, fabric, felt, paper, sugarcoated cardstock, regular cardstock, and mulberry paper flowers and paisleys as well as circles and other shapes, all layered and topped off with a fun brad or some glitter and "Robin's Nest" brand accent beads.
Feel free to scraplift! I plan to do another class sometime in the future and I will definitely post here about it. Making flowers is so much fun!

Here's the QK Announcement...

Cookie Cutter samples....
I used the scallop circle/flower dies on this one. This card is the Make n Take we are doing next week at SGT!
I used the MM tag crimper on this card. I lined these dies up on the sticky mat to get them straight, put ONE piece of paper down and ran it through the Revolution once. Easy and I think it looks cool!
More to come later....
"How Sweet It Is..."
"Good Time Girls"
The BIG BIG news was the release of the EXCLUSIVE Scrappin' Good Times die from Quickutz. Rumors have been a' flying about this die, being called the "Gypsy Heart" on 2Peas. Trish really wanted to wait until the SGT 3 year anniversary sale to reveal the die but there was so much buzz, people from Japan and all over the world calling the store wanting to order it... she just could not make everyone wait any longer.
Here is Joy's make-n-take. She made enough cards for 50 people and they were gone in a FLASH! Get a load of that SGT winged heart!!

Here is the line of people waiting to come in:
And it goes on...
and on...
and on...
and on...
and on...
...and on!!
When the customers and friends finally came in, they were all directed to the back of the store where Trish narrated an entire presentation of all the dies, how they work, the QK reasoning behind releasing these new dies... everyone got to see the behind the scenes info! Then Lisa, Barbara and I set to demo-ing...

Trish, PJ, Michelle, Vivina, Lizett, and Valeree were working the die area and registers, Judy and Susan were explaining the system to the customers, Joy was making and taking,...everyone was working hard! There were so many people crowded into the store that it started to get HOT! LOL Everyone loved the new dies--we sold out of Revolutions, out of all the new alphabet die sets, out of tons of the past shapes...it was incredible! And everyone loved the versatility of the new tool, how you can conserve paper with it, the possiblities, the price (even lower!!)...it was phenomenal.
If you haven't seen the new dies don't wait any longer. They are very cool. You can still get some of the shapes too. And stop in to see our samples. I'll be posting some scans of mine later today (during the daytime! LOL)
