"Our Family Story"

Why are my blog entires so short today? Well, I was in excruciating pain this afternoon so Xaver took me to urgent care. I have a double ear infection and a sinus infection plus a fever. Guess I need to slow down. So I am just chilling in my scrap room, getting a little bit of stuff done and just trying to take it easy. Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.

My idea has been "Zutter"ed!!!

Nan, one of the original Zutter Zisters, took my class kit from Scrapbook Royalty and put her own twist on it. And now it will be used by Zutter corporate as a display sample!! WOOOHOO!!! Here is her blog about it:

What a compliment to have someone use my idea as a SAMPLE! And of course, Nan is so nice that she gave me credit, even though she decorated the book super cute in her own way. Thanks Nan!

Classes are up!!!

I was going to do four classes. Then I decided to do one. Now I am doing 2.5?!?

The first class I am doing is "The Holidays In A Day" on November 1. We'll make one 2 page Christmas layout and one 2 page Fall/Thanksgiving themed layout. I'll have extra coordinating pages as add-ons to purchase. I am using Basic Grey's new Mellow line and the Christmas line from a new company called Best Creation, Inc. Plus you can get all your scrapping of the holidays done BEFORE the holidays. What a deal!

Then PJ (another instructor at SGT) and I were talking today and threw about this idea for a calendar class--A "Birthday Calendar". We both really wanted to do a planner but it just wasn't in the cards. So we are doing a desktop calendar that stands up--its a scrapbook and calendar in ONE. It LOOKS like a scrapbook with the pages made of envelopes. But it is REALLY a birthday calendar!! So fun! And we are going to use felt and all kinds of other fun embellies. I can't wait! That class is on November 7th from 6-9pm.

Today I was in SGT working on my Daisy D's "Our Family Story" 6x12 book and Julie showed it to her class and everyone loved it. I don't know that I could take on another class so PJ graciously stepped up to teach a version of this book as a class in December. Right before Christmas, a great last minute gift (or coffee table book to show off to the in-laws visiting at Christmas ;) ). If I have the time, I might just assist PJ with this class but I am sure she will put her magic touch on the project and you'll just love it.

I'll be posting pics of my version of the "Our Family Story" book hopefully tomorrow night. I am almost done!!!!
