Been Scrapping...

In between all the fun stuff I got a page done--woohoo! I started this one at our Book Club meeting on Wednesday and then got stumped. I went home and added some more things (like a title, kind of essential, you know?!) and here's what happened:

Sometimes things don't come out exactly as I would have liked but hey, it's all about the memories and this one really captured the feeling I had of my little trip to SD.

Today's Agenda:
Go to Grand Opening of Scrapper's Cafe (check)
Replace Flat Tire (check) - thanks Xaver!
Get Class Stuff from Collective Journey (check)
Take Kids to Grandparents for the Night (check)

Next Stop:
Dinner, Just the Man and I
Trisha's 30th Bday Par-tay!

See you tomorrow if I can get out of bed! LOL

More New Product Sneak Peeks + Tag

Book Club was super fun last night! We are all definitely becoming good friends and making some great projects too! The project we made last night is on display at The Scrappin' Table if you want to check it out in detail. Also, you can always still sign up for book club, just at a pro-rated class fee.

Here are some more of the products coming out this summer!

Maya Road's fun new stuff:

Collage Press' new Camden paper line:

That's all for this Am. If you are on my email newsletter list, you got a few more sneak peeks this AM in your inbox from me! If you aren't on my email list, just sign up in the upper left corner of my blog here...

I also got tagged by Nicole so here you go, get to know a little more about me ;)

Ten Years Ago: In July 1998 I was pregnant with Katie and we were living with my parents in Phelan because I had just gotten out of the Army in Texas. Xaver was looking for work and I was at home since no one would hire a pregnant lady! It was hard times. I am glad we are in 2008 and not 1998!

Five Things on Today's To-Do List:
1. Get an oil change (I went 8000 miles on this--ahhh I never do that!!)
2. PO to mail LA County Fair entry form
3.Get some scrapping done, as always!
4. Katie and I might bake cookies. She needs to listen to me and do her chores before the fun can take place.
5. Go to our financial planner's new office grand opening this evening.

Snacks I Enjoy:
Kettle Corn, Chips & Salsa, Ice Cream

Things I Would Do If I Was a Millionaire:
Give 10% to charity/church. Invest 80% of the money so we could collect the interest. Then I'd use the interest to open my own scrapbook store/studio where people could come and scrap for free. Then I'd get new cars and make all the home improvements we want to do. I guess that is it because it is only a million... now a BILLION I could do something with! LOL

Places I Have Lived: Let's go in order...San Bernardino, Rialto, Texas, Rialto, Phelan, South Carolina, Monterey, Texas, Phelan, Hesperia, Phelan, Hesperia, Highland, Rialto, San Bernardino, Hesperia...whew...

4 People I am Tagging (who haven't already been tagged)
PJ
Cindy
Trisha
Sarah

That's all for today! Gotta figure out what I am going to enter in the LA County Fair so I can get that entry form sent out.

Book Club is TONIGHT!!

Book Club at The Scrappin' Table is meeting tonight from 7-9pm. We always have space and welcome new friends and members so stop on by to take part in the fun. This week we'll be "Showing Off On The Wall" as we play with acetate, wood letters, picture frames, and more! Our book this cycle is "Show It Off!" which is all about taking your scrapbooking to another level, from your scrapbook to your home.

We'll be doing a make n take at our meeting tonight, playing with acetate and rub-ons to create miniature wallet sized wall hangings. These are perfect for the office or your bulletin board! Here's a sample of one I made earlier today:

So don't miss out--Book club is a fun get together with talented ladies, lots of chatter, and of course tons of inspiration! Call the Table to sign up now!

Woohoo--I'm a winner!

I've been tagged by both Joy Campbell and PJBartholomay!! Both of these ladies are super talented and very nice. So glad to have met you both and to have been nominated for this award by you! Thanks so much!!
I'm so excited they thought of me! The rules for receiving this award are listed below:

1) Put the logo on your blog
2) Add a link to the person who awarded you
3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4) Add links to those blogs on yours
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs

Here are 7 other blogs I think are worthy (I'm trying not to nominate people I know who already got the award and that is alot of cool people!!):

Nicole - she is a very talented designer and instructor at Scrapbook Blvd in Victorville. She is also very humble and I love that about her--she just creates for herself and the most amazing creations come out. Love her work!

Trisha - we have been friends for a few years now, back from just after she first broke free from her CM shell! Now she is designing for Kits 2 Remember and is the proud mommy of baby Bre! Always something interesting to read on her blog.

Davinie - I've said this many times before but I just love her blog! She does the most fun stuf with paper and is so unassuming about it all. She is so nice, even in person! And just bursting with talent and ideas!

Elena - my longtime friend and super fun founder of Scrapbook Royalty. She goes on the most amazing vacations and has the best adventures--not to mention shares her pics of all things inspirational on her blog.

Cindy Tobey - Shoot...who doesn't like her work?! She has a great blog, great galleries, and is a really nice person too. What more can you ask for?

Heidi - Sooo talented Heidi is an up and comer. I swear she makes a new DT every week! She is also in the Pink Tiara Ladies Publishing Support group where I am also a member on sb.com. Love her!

Nan - What can I say about Nan! She is so awesome! I have known her for about a year now and she nevers ceases to amaze me--love her humor too. Plus she has a rocking blog filled with fun stuff!

Thanks for nominating me Joy and PJ--you girls rock!!

Gypsy Isle Rocks!!!

Cindy just called me to let me know that the fabulous Shawn has posted some of our pics!! We were able to get in on Shawn's "Cali Sessions" this past June when she visited from Florida. She is an awesome photographer and scrapbooker and really good friend of my friends Cindy and Kristin. She was fun to work with and I am really looking forward to seeing all of our pics when they are finally up! Woohoo! Here's the link: Gypsy Isle - The Priests
Thanks for looking!!

What the MINI?!?!?

Oh my goodness! We are still unpacking, believe it or not. Part of it is due to some of our furniture not being right in this new space, like my old desk. Also the previous owners took most of the racks out of the closets. Between those two things we don't have places to put things after we unpack them. At any rate, my mini books were in a box in my scrap room because I have not yet found the basket they would usually be stored in. They were in my way so I figured I'd lay them out on this cut out feature in the dining room so they would be safe. I did not think they would reach all the way across or that I would have to smoosh them up against one another in order to squeeze more in.

Holy Moly!

And this isn't all of them! I just mailed 9 books off before this pic was taken and then there are all the books I have on display in stores plus some others that are still packed...I think I may need a bigger basket!

Did that stop me from making MORE?! Nope. Here are some more I made just playing around. They're not totally embellished or finished, just trying some different things.

This book is made from regular party hats I purchased from Target as well as chipboard scraps and old gift cards. I'll likely be posting a tutorial on how to make them in the next few days:

A book in the style of the "Berry Sweet" class I taught at Collective Journey in May:

Gatefold book. This one was inspired by a design Nicole from Scrapbook Blvd is using for one of her upcoming classes, a dinosaur themed book. Hers is a bit cuter! LOL

That's all for now!
