Being that I live in the desert and it is just too hot to go outside, I've either been scrapping or watching TV lately (usually while still unpacking my house! LOL). There are some crazy crazy shows out there!! Here's a run-down of some of what I've been watching:
Project Runway -woohoo, a new season! I love this show and love watching the designers, the stuff they make, and trying to figure out who the judges will vote off. It's on Wed nights on Bravo (my fave network). I also watch Shear Genius and Flipping Out on Bravo as well. Love Bravo!!
Doctor Who - Yes, Xaver sucked me into this one. It's on every Friday night and since I've been away cropping most Fri nights this summer X has been good enough to tvio it for me. If you like sci-fi it is a must see.
Yo Gabba Gabba - This is for Matthew. One of the guys from Devo is on the show which was developed by the Aquabats--crazy stuff. And Matt dances to the music...
BullSh*t - This show is on Showtime and is by Penn and Teller--too funny. It's a total laughfest but definitely must be seen when the kids are asleep.
Love Me, Love My Doll - Okay, I saw the promo for this when Top Gear was on (BBC America). Of course, the name is so odd so the other night Xaver and I watched it. W-E-I-R-D. Men who live with dolls--it is very sad to think people are that lonely. Just odd. I guess I can't say I regularly watch it since we only got through about half an episode before we were both too grossed out to watch any longer...
Monk - Since I've seen almost every Law & Order episode, I've switched over to watching Monk. It is alot tamer to watch when the kids are around and Tony Shaloub cracks me up!
So that's why I have no new scrappy stuff to post today--I was unpacking, cleaning, and moving furniture in the morning and then tonight I organized my stamps while we watched all the episodes of Doctor Who I missed ... then we watched "Friday After Next". Wow, my summer is exciting...LOL Sometimes you just gotta stay home and take it easy!

Bold is the Word of the Summer!
I am on a bold bold scrapping kick this summer--crazy bright colors, fun primaries, loud patterns. These are the things that make me smile!! Here are two more classes I just added to my calendar that are BOLD as can be!

Don't these bold, happy colors just make you smile? In this class we'll be using Cosmo Cricket's fun "Hello Sunshine" paper line to create a book about anything; family, friends, summer, or just how sweet life is in general. It's all about felt & borders on this one so don't miss out on some creations from my collection of punches and goodies!

Party hats, ribbons, gifts, greeting cards -- all of these items can be mementos of our favorite birthdays. Include all of these and more in this birthday party hat shaped mini book. We'll be using whatever gift cards, greeting cards, gift curling ribbon, and gift tags you have from your party as well as Creative Imaginations' paper and stickers to create this book. We'll also play with felt, pompoms, and fun trims plus Bazzill's Just the Edge Cardstock.
Please note, for this class you will need to bring: Photos, party hats, greeting cards, 1 curling ribbon from a gift, used gift cards received during the party, tags from gifts, and anything esle fun and flat we can put into the book. If you don't have these things, don't worry--we'll be able tp put together the book anyhow and you can add your pics and mementos later. If you sign up for it in the store they have little flyers they can give you with this info on it.
Tonight I'll be scrapping over at The Scrappin' Table again. Yes, it is a bit of a drive for me but it is fun there and I get alot done--what's not to love? Maybe I'll see you there...

On another front, the Scrapping Lounge just announced their new DT! They are totally revamping their program and I am excited to see what is in store. I postponed my classes there until the new system is in place so that I can make sure the classes are the best they can possibly be. I can't wait to see what all the new DT members do!Tonight I'll be scrapping over at The Scrappin' Table again. Here's what I am up to this week
In the last few weeks I've been working on something new: layout kits! Currently Collective Journey is carrying two layout kits I designed just for summer. These are exclusive to CJ's and are very limited edition so if you want one, you'd better hurry over and get one!

Last Friday I got quite a few more layouts done while scrapping at The Scrappin' Table. I used some of the new papers they have so they are on display at the store.
I used the "Busted" line from Creative Imaginations on this one.

This paper is actually is the pet line form Sonburn Designs but it works perfect for boy too. It is all doublesided so on the back of one of these are pawprints! LOL
Here's one I did about Elena, one of my good friends. I used Bg Euphoria. I have had this pic in my stash for sometime--it was taken at Pink Pineapple and the background was so bright it was hard to find a paper to match but this pp is perfect.
And top secret, I am working on developing an extensive scrapper's event for fall. This one won't be in any store and the projects we'll be making won't be for sale anywhere else. If you're interested in such an event, just send me an email!
Off to scrapping!

Why I have no tan...
First of all, I don't own a swimsuit anymore. No way am I going to kid myself about looking good in one. I threw it out last year. The second reason is that I've been locked away in my scrap room all day! LOL Here's another layout I did:
This is a layout of my niece and dd. We had professional pictures taken by Gyspy Isle photography while the inlaws were out visiting last month. This paper was challenging to use but I was determined to make it work! I love the bold colors of it.

I am still working on this layout (above). When I get all of my pics from Gyspy Isle I want to put them in the spaces on this page. Well, off to bed, I have an early day tomorrow. Katie is staying at my parents house for the week so while Matt is asleep in the morning (he sleeps in when she is not home) I plan to get alot more stuff done and prep some kits. I have a few kits that will be hitting store shelves here in So Cal soon (yep, they are just to buy, not classes) so I'll be posting those sneak peeks this week!! And I'll be dropping off my entires for the LA County Fair tomorrow as well. Wish me luck!!

Goog Dog - A Collaboration

My daughter Katie and I collaborated on this layout about her dog, Olive. We're submitting it for the Reminisce contest too! Katie helped do the inking and some of the placement on the page. She also took the photos herself earlier in the week. I did the layout and basic design plus the brads.
Supplies:
Patterned Paper, Stickers - Reminisce
Graph Paper - Scenic Route
Brads - Making Memories, Bazzill
Cardstock - Bazzill
Wii *heart* Bowling - edited
I made this layout for a contest Reminisce is having on their blog. The contest required that we use the Signature Line which I didn't have. Luckily, Michelle from The Scrappin' Table had the entire line and gave me a few sheets to play with. So here is my page:
I love bowling paper, I probably have 4 or 5 different lines of it here in my scrap room but do we ever go bowling? No! For us it is like going to the gym. It sounds good in theory and sounds like fun but then when it comes down to it, we just never have the time. Until we got the wii...
Now we play all the time!
Supplies for this layout:
Cardstock, Scalloped Border - Bazzill
Sugarcoated Cardstock - Doodlebug
Metal accents - Close to My Heart
Punches - EK Success
Ink - Colorbox Chalk Cateyes
Paper, Stickers - Reminisce
Thickers- American Crafts
Edited --- I had some questions about the title: It is actually printed right on the paper! I just used a bowling sticker from the same line and put it over the "o".
