Sick Again
I am taking the weekend off from posting because I am really really sick. Hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow for the Royalty On the Road event at Pink Pineapple. So I am off to rest up some more now. See you there. Btw I am not contagious--just another sinus infection.

Who Do You Love?
Everyone is always asking me to see photos of my family and I never have anything nice in my purse to show them. This last summer we got professional photos taken and these are photos I am proud to show! I created this mini brag book for my purse to showcase these photos. Now I can say “Yes” when people want to see photos of the family. To keep it simple I cut 4x5 pages for the inside of the book from this chipboard. I didn't want the book to be too heavy but it needed to be sturdy to hang out in my purse. I completely covered some pages with photos. On other pages I added cardstock and patterned paper to create a simple design. In the middle of the book between photos of my kids I added a mini page to talk about my kids. I love to change up the pages in the middle of a book for a fun surprise.
I sandwiched ribbon between a piece of paper and a piece of chipboard on each cover to make a tie for the book. I punched and bound the book with the Bind It All. Since this project is 4”x5” it was really easy to punch the holes quickly. Set the machine to the “C” setting and then slide your page against the tab on the guide. Then punch away! I added a few embellies and journaling strips after binding the book. This project can be complete in less than 45 minutes, perfect for a gift for your honey! And don't forget Mother's Day will be here before you know it as well.

Something on Sunday #2 - A Fancy Card
Fancy Pants is doing a little contest over on their blog., I just used their new V-Day paper line in my class yesterday so I figured I'd make a little something from the scraps:

I created this card using strictly scraps. I cut some hearts from the Fancy Pants patterned paper and I also punched some with the new Fiskars scalloped heart nesting squeeze punches. I punched a double scalloped border with a Stampin' Up! scalloped border punch and added some of this wonderful red striped ribbon from SU as well. I love that ribbon!!
I tied a small scrap of blue ribbon around the fat striped ribbon. Then I slid the felt diecut ribbon under the knot and secured it with a couple of mini glue dots. The stickers are the leftover alphas I had on a sticker sheet (always have too many U's and V's leftover). I put on some hearts with 3D foam squares and that was it. This card literally took 5 minutes!
Supplies:
Cardstock- Bazzill
Ribbon - Stampin' Up!, Creative Imaginations, All My Memories
Stickers - Creative Imaginations
Foam Squares, Glue Dots - 3L Scrapbook Adhesives
Ink - Colorbox
Punches - Stampin' Up!, Fiskars
Paper - Fancy Pants
Enjoy!
